I have an 90 gallon Aqueon all-glass, and the stand is their brand also, the one that came with it. I notice my canister looks a bit tilted just now, so I take it out to make sure the rubber inserts are still it in (they always fall out). They were all still in. So I moved the filter out from under the aquarium stand and see that the floor board has actually warped!?! Both ends of the floor are still at the original level, but about 5 inches from the left side, to about half way along the board is noticeably warped down.

First off, why the *blank* would you have the floor board suspended above the ground like the rest of the frame - even so, why not put supports under it so it doesn't warp or drop.

I can't find ANY warranty info on Aqueon's website, but the aquarium is just under a year old, so it must be covered right?

I spent about $850 to get the stand, tank, lid, and light brand new from them. Aquascaping, CA/SA's, and Loach's in the aquarium has been about a $200 investment.

Did Aqueon just pull one over on me? Does anyone have knowledge of the warranty's specifics?

I don't understand your post. Floorboards mean the floor and that's what you say is warped, but then you seem to be describing the stand, but lastly you asked if their aquariums have warranties. Those are 3 different things. Floor-stand-aquarium.

Pics might help, (me at least.)

If you are describing your floor, they do not warranty damage to your floor.

If you are describing the stand, they might have a limited warranty, but even if it hasn't expired, it will likely not cover water damage if that is what warped the wood or errors in building the stand if that warped the wood. If the stand came pre-built or if it's built to specifications, and it's under warranty and the damage was not caused by you, you may be covered.

If you are describing the tank, then they don't seem to have any warranty on the website, although something may have been stated on the invoice. If so, you can check, but I'm doubtful it's for 1 year. If the warping was caused by something you did, it will likely not be covered.

But to answer your question, not everything has a warranty and those that do won't always last a year. Without knowing exactly what is warped or why it's warped, it's hard to say much else.

I had my first 125 break because the sub-floor was made of 1"x 6" boards run diagonally across the joists, leaving the ends cantilevered into thin air! I did`nt know that was how they did it pre-plywood. Twenty minutes after filling I hear a loud CRACK! And the the sound of water hitting the floor. I had to pay to have a new bottom put on my tank. I then went and bought a piece of 3/4" plywood, some molding and stain to make a base for the tank to sit on.

Not knowing about the floor was my failure, not covered by warranty. It sounds like the same thing happened to you. You are responsible for making sure your tank is on a firm foundation and no warranty will cover that. I feel for you having been there myself.

If your floor is not level, it's not the tank manufacturers fault.
When setting up a tank, you should always first put a level on the stand, and then after the tank is on the stand from before it's filled and throughout the process and after.
Because my house is over 100 years old, none of the floors are level, and I need to shim every tank.

I am a little confused. So the story sounds like you floor can not support the weight of your aquarium. I guess I do not understand the purpose of the story, is the problem with an unsatisfactory aquarium, figuring out ways to increase the floor support capacity, or solutions about how to fix the floor because it is now warped? Regarding the warranty, this would depend on the circumstance because if the floor was not level or could not support the weight, they probably would not cover that under warranty. If the requirements were all met and the aquarium unexpectedly broke, leaked, or other unfortunate legitimate event, they might cover it if the aquarium was fairly new. Again, I am not sure I understand the purpose of the content, so maybe you can provide more clarity.

Jeez, that really sucks! I am sorry to hear about that unfortunate experience, especially since you just bought the tank and then twenty minutes later, the tanks broke! That is a very very sad tale. So happy and then BAM, water everywhere! Man it brings me to a mixture of emotions just trying to imagine this unfortunate experience occurring!
