Aqueon heater = crap

Since, I have been on MFK I have been promoting Aqueon products, but now i noticed my aqueon 300w heater has water trapped in the heater for the second time. I am doubting Aqueon's heater quality.

I have wrote aqueon an email, and they will probably try to send me a new one since they come with a lifetime warantee, but there is no point if it will just crap out like the first two.

I also believe this could be one of the factor that has made my Oscar sick with HITH. (stray voltage)

Now I need a new heater. Please suggest a quality heater.

Please don't say stealth since many people on MFK have said they tend to cook fish.

try the Fluval E series. I've had mine for almost a year and it's given me flawless service, thus far. . .

agreed. I have a 100w that is 8 years old and my 200w on my 65 is 5 years old.

Aqueon makes GREAT aquariums. light strips and aquarium furniture.

but not much else

their heaters/filters leave a lot to be desire IMO.

Another vote for Jagers. Had a couple of them running for like 3 years now. I also had the exact same problem with an Aqueon heater. Sticking with Jager.

The Fluval E seems very cool, but expensive. I'll go with the Jagers/ eheim. Can't go wrong with Eheim. Thanks you all.

So Aqueon's only response was they are going to send me a new heater.

Sorry, I refuse to buy aqueon ever again unless its a tank.
