Aqueon Heaters = Marineland Stealth?

I needed a new heater for a tank and didn't have time to wait for mail-order. Petsmart (I have no better local option) only carried a few submersible heaters (including ML Stealth) so I grabbed an Aqueon brand 200W heater.

It wasn't until I got home that I realized that the $40 heater was just a repackaged Marineland Stealth heater! It is sad to see this sort of thing - how long before all our equipment is made by one single manufacturer.

Anyways, I had to rant. It really sucks that I went and bought another piece of junk Stealth heater, especially when I thought that was what I was avoiding.

No, it has the Aqueon logo printed on it. However, it has the same unique cross-section as the stealth. They're both made in Italy, and even the silkscreening of the model # looks identical...

I think they're both owned by the same parent company or something like that, so they probably just tinker with existing products a little and sell it as a completely "different" item.
