Araguaia Azul Yawn.... I suck at photoshop

I'm still learning how to use photoshop, so for now, here's a crappy pic of an Araguaia Azul yawning.

The image itself is really soft, so the picture taking skill is lacking too. But I can live with that if I could just get the image to look a bit more natural on the background, Something about the fins bothers me, like they should be clearer.

I should hit up some of the gurus if they still haunt the aquatic-photography forum.

then again my photo skills peak with my Samsung 8 mp cam. Auto everything mode.

Thanks guys, I wasn't trying to be modest, I know it comes off that way, but I'm really trying to push myself to reach pro level. I was happy I caught the yawn backlit.... total luck.

The background is the part I photoshopped. It is possible to get an all black background by using overhead flash, and a fast shutter speed, but this shot was taken in a grow-out tank and there was a lot of particulates visible in the original pic.

I used the smart edge refiner tool to select the outline of the fish, then created a new layer solid black background.
