Hi everyone,

i’ve been growing out my arapaima arapaima for the last two months and it’s grown from 4” to 8” which makes me believe this isn’t a gigas. (Was at 86° and power feeding)

I noticed yesterday a slight eye injury and today it’s on the whole eye. Pics attached. Not sure what to do so advice needed. He’s eating fine and acting normal. I added salt to the tank yesterday.

Keep the water clean and it should heal up in no time if it’s a scrape. It’s possible it just bumped its eye while feeding. Unless you noticed this shorltly after you added the mollies

Okay will remove all decor. I took all the tankmates out for the most part. Still eating but only if the food is on the good eye side today. Did 50% water change yesterday and added salt

Remove decor and keep temps around 78-80 and nitrates below 20ppm.

How's your arapaima doing now? Found them to be very sensitive to water conditions when less than 1.5 ft. It's def an arapaima gigas btw
