Arapaima Dillema: Please advise if I am going into a disaster.

There's this arapaima that is being sold to me at 7months old. He is about 25". I want to know how long can I house him in my 250gallon tank with a footprint of 32" width (84" long & 32" tall). Also, in that same tank I have a 25" silver arowana. Will either fish be not aggressive towards each other? This is a temporary thing as I know I cannot house him forever. I will immediately post the sale of this fish after a month or so of taking care of one. It will not take long before someone will take him from me. Let's just say I'm doing this for the experience of having one. I have 2days to decide if I will take the fish. They're selling me for 120USD.

Am I thinking rationally? Guys, please help me decide on this one.

Seems kinda silly to buy a fish you can only house for a couple months. Why not start with a smaller one?

A 25" arapaima will outgrow that tank in 30 days. No doubt.
