Hey guys , i have an arapaima around 1 ft 5 inches in a 6 ft by 4 ft tank . I have already had a pond building for this monster . Just recently , there are white spots on the tail of my arapaima . I am not really an expert on arapaima and hope you guys can help me out with the white spots. One more thing , how long must an arapaima grow until we are able to see the red colour on its body ? Really appreciate if you could help.

Color is based on a combination of genetics, environment and diet. Some will never get the red color.
As for the white spots on the tail, are they spots like a fungus or bacteria, or just white coloration on the animal that is showing up?
