This is my dream fish.. Hope to rear some day in, maybe in a pond..
They are fantastic, superb fish...
I get to know the can jump very high just to get their prey!!
Do they attack human in wild??
What we are needed in order to rear them?
Hope to get some opinion..

Taken in one of the town situated here.

I dont think they attack humans,,,but if cornered they will leap and tend to injure people that way....you will need a huge pond to rear one of these bad boys iam guessing and good filteration..yes looks like a tinfoil barb

Mr.Nelly;

You are dead on about them leaping and injuring people.I used to go in my 1,500 gallon tank once a month and clean the glass.I had three arapaima's and I spook one of the big ones.She hit me in the side of the face and it took everything I could from blacking out.It was a close call.After that,I never got into the tank without somebody watching me in the tank.She was over 5 feet long.

Yes, gigas do attack humans.... Neo almost got gulped alive by his giga while doing his water change.... Luckily he managed to escape to tell the story....
