Arapaima Gigas

Hi, guys just sharing this Arapaima gigas. It does not have the normal arapaima colour.
Its quite cool. Anyone care to share some info?

It's normal colored, with a light substrate. Look forward to updates, and hearing about your tank plans.

From a local Fish shop.
Would the colour darken if i place it in a tank with black background?

Yes and be prepared for the fish to double its size in a mth and have a pond ready in 6mths

P.S. : they don't travel well in transport

these fish grow can and will grow to around 3 meters, you know that right

This fish will grow big fast and it will let the fishkeeper know when the space is too small :naughty:

and it is also a fine pet fish. You did not get the fish, did you??

Might be renting a pond for my fishes next time.

lol i would be reconsidering, this fish can get over 10ft easy, i mean fast too.

If you can house the fish, then awesome

!
But if you cant, dont buy it. These fish should not be sold in fish stores.
