Anyone else who keeps archers what diet are you keeping them on?

Mine currently is eating a diet of around 99% crickets and 1% moths. I guess that it is probably what it eats in the wild but I was just wondering if everyone else thinks it is a suitable diet.

Mine eat tropical flakes. They also eat carnivore pellets, crickets, blood worms/brineshrimp/prawn which the other fish eat.

But its mostly crickets and flakes.

I hear moths are a no no because sometimes they carry a slight toxin in their wings, but I'd like if someone confirmed or denied that.

I've been told the more varried the diet the better, since they eat such a range of different foods in the wild.

When I got mine all they would eat was frozen bloodworms, Ive since got them to eat other things such as small cichlid pellets, flakes, frozen mysis, frozen "community" food that has alot of spirilina, FD bloodworms and some chopped fresh tilapia :)

So no one else here is feeding a diet of insects only?

I used to give mine NLS pellets with weekly frozen food, either krill or bloodworms.

Bartier, I would feed them mostly insects, however, find it easier for myself personally to buy other food that I don't have to keep alive :)

Fair enough well I am happy to keep feeding it insects. I am also thinking of adding mealworms to all of my fishes diets. So that could be another addition to make some variety in my archers diet.
