Archer fish easily startled

Does anyone else find that their archers are easily startled by maybe your hand going near them at the surface of the water? I have had mine for a couple of months now and I was just wondering if it will continue to be like this forever or if it will grow out of it?

mines about 4 inches and its tame as can be. never tried but i bet i could hand feed it. when it was younger/in a smaller tank it was a little skittish. hopefully it will out grow it. if not it may just be the fish if its not sick. goodluck

I have 4 in my 75, two about 4-5" and 2 3-4" and they all seem a bit skiddish when I go near the tank.

Hopefully it will just grow out of it. Mine seems very healthy, it just doesn't enjoy the company of my hand very much. lol

My archer has no problem hanging at the top of the tank chasing my hand while i feed,he's not skittish at all
