I have a 400 gallon with young fish..
3x xingu bass 4 inches
2x Florida gar 4 inches
2x veil tail albine oscar 4 inches

Could I add a little group of archers? Or they wouldn't mix

I don't think the Clouded Archer would work and possibly would be food once others got larger. Personally would keep Archer in a species own aquarium.

You could add archers very temporarily. The Xingu are rough and tumble bullies that chase down other fish and swallow them whole quicker than your eye can follow. Archers are pipe and slippers fish that delicately shoot bugs out of the air and swallow them when they hit the water's surface. These are not compatible and to get an idea of what to expect watch a few peacock bass feeding videos on youtube. Not much else eats until they're done and even then it's only a robust tank mate that can tolerate their crap.
