Hello fellow fish keepers

I have been offered an archerfish, I know almost all species of archers are brackish, I just need some help with distinguishing between the ??Toxtes microlepis and Toxtes chatareus ? Can I keep these fish in the same tank ( 60 gallon planted ) with my two indian leaf fish ( nandus nandus )

Thanks in advance :)

I think you cannot keep them in planted cos they need higher ph and a bit of salt. If not their life span is short.

Thanks:) I know ??T. microlepis is a fresh water archerfish, that tolerates true brackish only for short periods of time, while it ideally is suited to lower end brackish or freshwater, if my archer where to be this species, would my planted aquarium be ok then? Would the water still be to soft?
