Yesterday, around 11 am, my pair spawned for the second time that they've been with me (little more than a month). Their first spawn ended with all the wrigglers being instantly eaten right after hatching by their parents. I figured it was the overcrowded tank that sparked this parental behavior, so I removed all the non-archocentrus multispinosus fish (save for 3 swordtails, which they don't seem to mind) and hopefully they feel safer. I'm leaning to take out maybe 1/3 of the eggs and try to artificially hatch them in a breeding net in the same tank, just to save a few, but I'm not sure yet. I plan for them to hatch either tomorrow or the next morning, so time is of the essence.
