ok so i pick up a lipstick leporius yesterday and i wanted to know what to feed. i fed some blood worms but what should be his main diet. hes about 7 inches

If I'm not mistaken leporinus like a good amount of vegetation in their diet

i gave him a couple of peas and he liked them( i think) he also had some hikari cichlid gold last but im not sure if its that nutritos for this particular fish.

A variety is good for any fish. Try adding some algae based flakes/wafers

I feed mine pellets,worms and chunks of tilapia. Keep a close eye on him if he has tankmates. They can be very aggressive.

I will ive had him for a week know and has done just a little chasing but nothing anymore.
