are albino bichir dwarf?

For what its worth I have only heard of 1 or 2 albinos getting much bigger than 8 inches.It highly possible that a gene that controls size could be effected by albinoism.Remember albinoism isn't the norm and often contributes to other defects.-Anne
The pair I had a long time ago were growing quite well until they jumped out together. They were about 7-8" if I remember right.
The one I have now seems to be stunted/dwarved. But I have not had it that long and the lady I got it from may have stunted it.
There are some trends that seem to go along with albinism, at least sometimes. A stunted/dwarved size, poor vision, increased aggression, increased health problems long term.

my albino senegalus hasn't grown nearly as fast as other sens I've had. Plus he's creepy and short-bodied which personally i do NOT think is cool. Matter of fact I've recently decided I hate him. Anyone in AZ wanna buy an albino sen? 
Of all the pics I've seen & my single albino female,,, they are all fat as well? You would think that with poor eye sight, they might be a little skinnier.

One thing is that the protein that would have been used to make pigment is now available for other uses. One study showed that solid black mollies and solid black angels fry had a higher mortality rate. It was determined that they needed higher protein levels because of the amount of pigment produced. Take that in the opposite direction and a fish producing no pigment (albino) would have a lot of extra protein. And if you don't use it you usually store it. This does not explain their lack of growth, but does explain their husky build.
