are all BNs as pissy as mine?

over the course of today ive been watchin the BN a lot. he just kicked the clown plec out of the cave that he had been living in for months and has claimed it for himself lol. he also dug in it to make it bigger. he's also been flaring those huge cheek spines whenever any other fish come near him...

is this normal? im gonna have to get some rocks to make another cave, just to keep the plecs from hurting each other.

Mine seems to be the same way lmoa! I never see him, hardly even know he's there. He's in a 70 g tall tank and he's just a little thing, like 3". I put a 6" Chocolate Plec in there and all of a sudden here comes the BN. Kicked the big Plec's butt all over the tank until I took him out lol! He not only didn't want him in his cave, he didn't want him breathing his water either. Ornery for such a little thing

my old bn started to kick my fatty of a clown pleco out from under my DW.

ok, so its normal. lol i feel bad for my whiptail... the BN hates him and he cant defend himself from the BN... but, the BN hates all the fish not just plecs. he flares his spines at a swordtail who swam too close.
i was thinkin about getting him a mate but if hes this aggressive now i dont think i will.

he's aggresive towards other plecs bnut not the other tankmates

I also have a couple of bn in my planted tank and hardly ever see them. There are no other cats in the tank and they leave the other fish alone - 10" bichir, 3 angels, 2 4" gourami, 6" severum and a 9" green aro.
