Are all or most Red Spot Sevs infertile?

I just got given a 7" Female Gold Severum, i currently have a 8" Male Red Spotted Severum in a 75g tank with Barbs and Corys, from the moment she went in he is flirting like mad with her, not being aggressive at all.

They are currently both shaking at each other and taking it in turns following each other round, neither are nudging or biting or tail bashing.

Anyway is it unlikely i get fry from these 2?

Sounds like love is in the air, and apparently red males arnt infertile, you just need to process the water some how since it's hard to get the eggs to hatch.. The guy who said this wouldnt tell us the secret however

Processing water :S sounds like hassle, ah well at least i got a pair anyway, they are feeding together nicely, deffo loved up lol, its weird pairings, i had a pair of Blood Parrots that paired up instantly to be introduced and were laying eggs within a short period.....course nothing came of them either, i know convicts pair up immediately without being choosey, and my old Flowerhorns did to but never had any South Americans do it!

Well its day 2 and the fish are still following eachother everywhere, not just the red pursuing in a territorial way, the female is also following the male, boths fins are intacts, they just do everything together.

I have a small Gold female (2") in there to that i was going to grow out for the big red male but looks like i dont need her now, so i may keep her till she gets a bit of size then trade her in at a lfs or sell her on facebook.

My new 7" gold is a bit tatty tho cos she came from a tank with a large oscar and he didnt like her to much, her fins are fine but shes got dark patches on her in a few places, will these heal and go away?

Pair still going strong, won't leave eachothers side, such a shame i cant get fry out of these.
