Are all pond liners created equal>? Pvc or EPDM?

As the title states? Im adding a liner to my 650 build as a safty factor (so i can sleep at nite lol) incase i have a seam that deciedes to "pop". Does silicone adhere better to PVC or EPDM and which is the better buy? opinions pleaze. Thanks for looking

I've been researching which is better, PVC or EPDM, and have found out that 45mil EPDM or nothing. Everyone seemed to go with 45mil EPDM or they would say the others will vanish in thin air within a short time. Lol, I would stick with 45mil EPDM, thicker, safer, longer lasting, ect. Though it's harder to find 45mil EPDM that I believed was in an acceptable price range...
