arent asian aros illegal in USA and if so why and why do people find em in stores for crazy money im confused?:nilly:

Illegal rarely equates to not available. If anything, illegal is in high demand . Fish or anything else.

They are an Endangered Species. From what little I know on the subject, the farm bred Aro's aren't allowed in either because the farms don't put any back into the wild.

their illegal in some countries like U.S because they are *PROTECTED SPECIES* under CITES law. note: due to alot of farms in asia like sg, indonesia and malaysia, these species are no longer counted as "ENDANGERED SPECIES".

I always thought they were illegal because of the danger to the local eco-system. Much like the snakeheads...so please correct me if I am wrong. You see I can have a Red Asian Aro or a Snakehead here in Canada, but if I release it in a river/lake it won't make it through the winter so no danger here we know it will die. But, over in the US of A, where there are more temperate weathers and even close-to-tropical systems, they would thrive in your rivers, and endanger a lot of native species.

You can thank a few imbeciles who released foreign species in the US for that...
