are bichirs social?

hi all

i want to buy a dehlzi bichir for my 50USG tank (not kept until adulthood) but was wondering if he/she would be O.K on his own? by on his own i mean no other bichir friends. would he be more active if he had more friends?

I had my Senegal for months before I got another one - Scooter (the Bichir) did fine by himself with other types of fish in the tank!

mine don't seem to care if other Bichirs are there or not ...

they seem to enjoy the 6+ inch peacock eels more than each other ...
