Are black nasties hard to keep

I read last night somewhere that these fish are fragile and can't be moved from tank to tank
They get stressed easy and die easy.

How true is this?

By the way, moved this to Central American Cichlids, Hispaniola (where haitiensus (black nastys) come from, is considered part of North (Central) America.
