not that i want one, i just realized ive seen someone fish one

it was about 1 1/2ft long

they look like snakeheads

it could either be a Bowfin or a Snakehead...not fully sure on the restriction on these guys but I know Snakeheads are illegal in the state i live in :irked: ...lol

ya, i was askin if they were included in the forum, ok

but at least if i caught one, i could keep it, but i wont be mite not be dipneting for a while
 
For what it is worth, Bowfin are native to the Eastern United States. They are predominantly in the South East but as far north as the Potomac River (varies due to climate changes).

Todays Bowfin remain mostly unchanged from the fossils of their ancestors.

Bowfin are far further North than the potomac...

Not on this map but they also range into Canada in Ontario and Quebec..
