I assume you mean Convicts right if so then the convict is a cichlid but its from Central america here is a link if you want to know more about them

Of course he means convict, and that link is not going to answer his question. This will work with convicts until they start attempting to form pairs and breed. Once a pair forms you will most likely have some casualties. The best way (in my opinion) is to keep convicts as a pair in a 15gal or larger aquarium, and let them breed. To me, the convict's breeding and parenting behavior is the most interesting aspect of this fish.

that method generally won't work with more than just one pair, especially once they breed and have free swimming fry.
