ok guys bare with me now, i have a jag, red devil and a convict with a indo datnoid about 3in ok my other fish dont make trouble to him but my convict does chase him around but the dat is to fast. i have alot of caves but my dat is shy? he is always in one spot but he is not just chilling on the sand like my other cichlids but he is up swiming about 2 inches above the sand under a cave. lol its hard to explain but are they that shy? i got him today so i dont know if his lil strees but idk?

ohh ok today i always see my female convict chase around my datnoid till he tires hime out? after being chased he breaths kinda hard for a while.
I have purchased both three IT at 3-4 in and 2 NTT at 5-6 inches over the last month, and the IT are out and about but the NTT hide all the time. In fact I have not actually seen the NTT eat yet, they such..
datnoids are not recommended with cichlids especially at that size. if they are always being chased, which is probably what will happen, the dats will hide, but u might get lucky. in the end the dats will get bigger but they grow much slower and they are not aggresive like ur cichlids. i do admit that i will be putting cichlids in with my dats but not for a few years cause they need time to get big before cichlids are even considered.
