Are dats fresh water, or brackish?

Datnoides polota, D. undecimradiatus and D. campbelli can be kept in brackish. Silvers (D. polota) are found in freshwater and brackish areas, and although they are pretty hardy sometimes if they've been collected from brackish and kept in brackish at the store, they don't do so well in fresh, so be careful if you choose to acclimate them. People keep all of these fish in either fw or bw, it depends who you talk too. IT and ST do fine in freshwater.

D. undecimradiatus (NTT) Is found in fresh water in the wild, so should not be kept in brackish conditions.

campbelli and Polota are the only species found in brackish conditions in their natural habitat. As said above, both these species do well in fresh water as well.
