are eartheaters slow growers?

i've had my brasiliensis and jurpari for 4 months now, almost 5, and it seems like they've hardly grown in that amount of time. they both eat about anything, shrimp pellets, cichlid gold pellets, FD shrimp, blood worms, even other fry in the tank. they've maybe put on about an 1-1.5" since ive had them

I've had both and the brasiliensis are realtively fast growers IME

for the most part they grow very slowly

Don't expect more than maybe 1/2" a month maximum even in optimum conditions. Brasiliensis on the other hand are quite quick growers.

i've had my surinamensis for about a year and a half now and lookin at around 2" growth or so. 5-7". normal?

My brasiliensis grew pretty quick the other earth eaters grow very slowly. Espicially the surinimensis type/ but worth the wait.
