Do fish have playful personalities?

Is my tinfoil barb playing tag with the pacu, or tiring him out?

well; i had 2tinfoil barbs and a pacu in the tank. i had to take one of the tinfoils out of the tank since she was territorial(?) and constantly bullying the male. after, the lone barb would always follow the pacu around slowly whereever the pacu went. very calm and gentle; stayed in the same corner the pacu did, and followed the pacu when the pacu went for a cruise.

but now the barb is constantly chasing and nipping the boy of the pacu. the pacu seems to never attack the barb(like he does to the oscars) and is always acts really tired.
is this a game of tag where the barb is always "it" or bullying?

now they don't stay together and the pacu gets pushed to the corner while the brb gets the tank to himself.

is this anger in the tinfoil barb caused because he is a lone fish, when they're schoolers?

because of all of this the nice pacu has turned pretty mean and is now attacking my small fish.

Pacu will rarely result to violence if it too is a victim of violence. Tinfoil's are natural schoolers so it has nothing better to do except chase the pacu.

lame but at work i have a black moori goldfish; I'v taught him to hid when i point at his tank. Whenever someone i don't like comes near i point at him and they think im crazy and have a tank with no fish.

one of my catfish chases my cat back and forth its really sad because the cat will get 5 or 10 ft from the tank ank look back at his friend and meow like "why wont you follow me"and the catfish looks back from his tank and waits for the cat to return

thanks, i'll get one more tinfoil to make 3.
so it's not a violent thing right?

the pacu is bullying the oscar though, no dought. mouth open and chasing it everywhere until the oscar lays on it's side on the tankbottom.

is it because i only have a single pacu? i read they are schoolers when young. should i add more to the tank and pull them out once the pacu gets big?

or could it be all the protein he's getting in his diet?(by stealing the carnivore's food)
