Heya, i have recently added a pair of convicts into my tank, Basically they've been feeding well, swimming around happily.
but i've noticed they've gotten very attached to one log.
and killed a rosy barb who repeatedly tried to swim into it.
(just bought the rosy barbs being sold as feeders to help cycle the tank)
Anyways, i'm not actually sure if i have a female and a male or what, but they rarely leave each other, unless ones sitting in the log then the other will go out.
anyways some pictures, hey picture says a thousand words, sorry about the camera skills, first time ever.
and yes the cons are still babys :)
Basically, think there breeding?

Get a flashlight and shine all around in it for eggs if you can possibly? Either that or my brother found this great way of finding out by sticking his hand in and seeing if he gets bit for poking around the nest. :D

Might be quite some time before you see results, the wrigglers are even harder to spot than the eggs.

might be an idea with the flashlight, i stick my hand in that tank and the rosy barbs try to eat me -_-
the female, (correct me if i'm wrong, the one who has quickly developed a colourful patch on her belly) has gotten very fat, so i'm hoping she's got eggs.
