All my fish are going to the top of the tank with there mouths almost out the water. It seems like they need air, once I had seen this I did a 20% water change? But they are doing the same thing a hour later. My power head just broke, so there is very low water movement in the tank. Please help

You're going to have to get more water circulation in your tank for gas exchange. Try an airstone, and get another powerhead. GL

What size tank? whats in it? how big are they?

just got the powerhead working again. Everything seems fine. 110gal tank north american cichlids (green terror, oscar, snooks, 2 jack dempseys, convict) all under 3 inches. thanks for the help!!

What kind of filter are you running that it can't keep enough circulation and oxygen for 6 fish under 3" in a 110? Whatever filtering you are using should at least turn the water over a minimum of 3 times an hour.

Next time lower the water level and the cascade from your filter will boost the dissolved oxygen in the tank...
