Are My Golden Ps Mating

What are the signs of mating In The golden Ps because my fish are always brushing the tails on eachother over and over agian and and they always together in my tank they wont leave eachothers side for one second

by the way, it is better if you put videos since we really cannot see what you are describing

if the P's are just brushing their tails yet they are not fixing any nest, then its like a teritorial thingie
 
ok i dont no what they were doing but there were both on there sides swiming around the tank it looks like they were biteing eachother but i dont no so i put a divider in my tank and hopfully i can remove it today
 
There 2 golden Ps The Tank is like a 70 gallon tank im gettin a 100 and something from this kid so ill have a new home pretty soon
 
Its weird because the Bigger P has no problem with the smaller one its the smaller one starting the fights and the big one just never fights back so im just gonna seperate them and mabey get some Reds to go with the one Eyed one
 
it was most likely a territorial fight. And if you group piranha's it is always better to group them in 3's or more. expecially with spilo's. i used to have 8 of those in a 220 gal. from 1"-8" and by the time i got to 8" i was down to 3. when you upsize, imo get one more and set up a hospital tank cuz there fighting will get worse.
