I'm new at this. Can slugs be overweight? Are mine?
They're resting, so they look their fattest.

You're the only slug keeper I know. Kudos to a unique choice of pet!

I wasnt aware people kept slugs. I dont see why not though we keep everything else. For what its worth they look pretty content to me, fat or not.

They eat veggies and fish food. Zucchini, spinach, those terrible ColorBits I don't know what else to do with, etc. The maintenance is killer though. They POOP POOP POOP.

no there not fat!!!! this has to be a trick question cuz they stretch like 3 times there size.....and by the way id hate to have to move them to a new tank!!!!!!!
Keeping slugs wow, my girl would go nuts if i did that... She goes nuts about my fish, even tho there taking a constant bath!!

That's funny you say that. I just took a series of shots with my finger and a ruler in them. I'll post them soon. Wife is on the main 'puter now. And she DOES think they are gross. But I have no qualms at all, especially now that they are used to being handled and don't secrete defense mucus anymore. It's the defense mucus that is goopy and hard to get off. The normal stuff just rinses off.
I try to use their decor to move them since it's not healthy for the slugs to be handled often, but if they are on the plastic, I rinse my hand and slide my finger under 'em. They don't even ball up anymore.

I should add that they love flowers, like maple flowers, pansies, and so forth. I only feed them things I've caught them munching on, besides standard critter fare.

And they aren't obese, it seems. They're just getting very big very fast! 4.5" long now.
