are orinos bullys??

I added a few orinos to my peacock bass tank.The other bass in there are monos and tems.Everyone is the same size,six inches.I noticed my tems yesterday looked all washed out?I checked parameters and everything was spot on.I checked the temp,its 84.They still eat like pigs but are swimming around like a bunch of "marys".I sat off to the side today,very still and watch the orinos swim over to the tems and not bite them but just get very close and make the tems shiver,lol.Then i saw them occasionaly chace but still no bites.Are orinos the tough guys of peacock bass??here is a pic to make it more interesting:)

I have 2 orinos and they are nasty. They pick on any other bass that goes in that tank regardless of size. They are constantly going back and forth at each other. I have another tank with a mono, ocell and 2 kelbs an there is never any aggression.:headshake
 
most orino owners say that they are the bullys and can get very nasty. I am still grow some out so hope fully some one with more experience with adult orinos will chime in. Let me also add, some tem owners they that they can get nasty to but i know my 2 are pretty chill.
 
Orinos are the pit bulls of the cichla world. Sell me your azuls/pinima and everything will be kosher :)

:ROFL:....nice...i love that word KOSHER...haven't used that word in a bit.
 
definitely! orinos are in fact the pit bulls. im gonna try and have a tank full of orinos, we'll see how that works :) my guys are always yapping at each other and ramming the others into submission. its pretty cool to watch. its not violent or anything, but if the one thats being bullied is a lot smaller they could possibly kill it.

but i sure do love the jet black mohawk and flared gills of an excited orino :D
 
Yeah my 8 inch orinos is a really bully but it depends on the individual fish some orinos are nasty and others arent as nasty
