are oscarsaggressive to new tankmates

i recently bought a 5 inch silver aro my oscar started to chase him everywhere so i put the oscar in a 20 gallon the oscar is 4 inches any ideas how to make the oscar peaceful if that does not work i will have to give the oscar becuse the oscar is to big for the 2 gallon

Yes, I would say from experience I would not put a new fish in with mine. If I was planning to do that I would remove both my Oscars, rearrange the tank, add the new fish then put my Oscar in after later that day. Basically because Oscars are so food ready anything dropped in the tank would be considered dinner
