Title pretty much says it all. I'm purchasing my first P Bass tomorrow and real excited to get him. He's going to be going in a 125g with my 6-7" Oscar, 2 Tinfoil Barbs, and a school of SD. He'll be 5" when I purchase him. No need to tell me he'll outgrow the tank fast. I know. I'm having a 300g 8ft plywood tank built within 6 months. Just waiting to move first. :)

I'm real excited to get him and I've been reading a lot about them but just recently, while looking in the cichla sub forum, I was thinking to myself "I haven't read anything about if these guys can be aggressive with tank mates or not."

So just a simple question. Anyone kept these guys known them to be aggressive?

P.S. Nothing in my tank is aggressive. Not even my Oscar. He'll chase new comers around for a bit and once he realized he can't eat them he'll leave them be. I had to move a JD out of this tank because he was thrashing my Oscar pretty bad so I've dealt with aggressive ones in this tank before. The current stock is real mild.

Cichla do well w/ oscars. SHould also do good w/ all the fish you mentioned. They are cichlids and they can tend to be a bit aggressive at times. SHould work well in your tank. Keep us posted. Cichla are the best!

Very cool. Good to hear. I'll definitely keep you posted. Gotta get the guy first. Gonna go pm the person selling him to me now. :)
