Are payara legal in UT? Specifically Hydrolycus scomberoides? Do they need to be kept in schools? Can anything live with them?

Try researching on your local laws or ask the wildlife department in your area. Will probably be an easier way for you to find out.
Payara are perfectly legal in UT. I've kept a number of them over the years and a local pet shop here has them on a regular basis.
