I just got a 100 gal tank for free(but no cover)I will be making a cover(not sure how tight)I would love some Pbass but am affraid they will jump out.Any help is appreciated!!

i would have the cover for sure but their not "notorious" jumpers from what ive heard. a 100 will eventually be too small but you could have them for a little while.

Mine tend to only go a little crazy when my entire arm is in the tank. Most of the time they are relatively calm, though. I have never had one hit the top of the tank as hard as my oscars used to. Come to think of it, neither of my bass ever break the surface of the water, unless they are feeding.

if there is more than one or another fish in the tank...the potential is there for a flying leap to floor heaven.

I would definately have the top made before the fish were purchased just to be on the safe side. I went down to the local glass shop with measurements in hand and had pieces cut. About 45 dollars for a 180 gallon tank.

They only jump if they're in water.. LOL

Any fish with enough power to do it is a potential jumper. Cover all of your tanks.

Make sure the tank is covered.

if you don't cover the tank you should consider placing it next to your toilet or your tub..
