alright well i was searching around online to double/triple check my setup for my arow, and in two hours i have read FIVE car sheets with state that a 55gal is suitable for an adult silver arow as "they arent very active and just sit near the surface"

now correct me if im wrong but wouldnt an adult potentialy touch head-tail
to both ends of the tank? and NO way be able to turn around???

if someone accualy keeps them in a 55gallon.. i dont even know what to say :screwy:

obviously a 55 is too small. thats the downside of the internet... everybody can write down things even if they dont make sense in any way.

THATS INSANE. IMO a 6'L 30"W tank is the absolute minimum for an adult silver, but I would keep a full grown silver in an 8'L 3'W tank. Thats the reason why I came to this forum, so that I didn't end up listening to some of the idiots who say that you can keep a silver in 55, 75, or 125 gallon tank.

id figure that ABSALUTE BARE MINIMUM! is 2x the length of the fish.. and atleast the width of the fish,

So a 2 foot fish
needs a 2 ft wide tank by 4 ft long,

At that the fish can turn around, but still very very very cramped..
people making caresheets that say 55 are insane,
id say the absalute minimum for an arrow would be a 150. and thats extremly small and poor so if you cant afford bigger.. go home!:)

Yea that is pretty bad info.....that's why i read books before i turn to the internet.........

What the hell? That's like trying to cramp a 5 year old kid in that 55gal for life!

You're not supposed to do that?

CRAP:nilly: :nilly:
