are plecos slow growing fish???

What kind of pleco? Some grow quick, others grow slow as molasses.

It all depends.
I've had two commons, once shot to 12'' in no time at all, one has stayed about 7'' for two years now.

My common went from 1" to 5" in like 3.5 months. That was faster than I expected.

my common jumped to 5 inches in 3 months. my orange spot jumped to 3 inches in the same amount of time. like most fish i beleive they slow down on growth speed at a certain length

i think mine are just regular plecos (common sailfin i guess)

ive had them since june and they arent even an inch
