I have over 40 species in a dozen of tanks and all eat the food I just throw in the tanks..., except for one...
My 1.5' black aro eats big shrimps I hang in the tank on a "chain" of 4 safety pins. I have been doing it this way for several months now but wasn't happy with it because I was afraid that eventually she'll eat the pins. Usually I watch her rip a shrimp off this "chain" and then I replace it. But, if she doesn't bother, I sometimes walk away and then sometimes the 2.5' SAL gets it.
Wednesday after the WC, I hung the pins in the tank planning on feeding but forgot.
Later on I heard a noise and three of the pins were gone. The pins are around 1'-1'5.
Theoretically it also could've been the SAL or even the ray, but I am pretty sure it was the aro.
What can happen?
What can I do?
Should I keep feeding her?
(I immediately inspected the gravel. The pins are gone)
