I bought my bichirs on Sunday and the senegals are already swimming around all over the place, but the endlis stay still even if there's food. Is something wrong or are they generally more laid back?

My sens are out 24 hrs, my endlis only come out when there is food or the lights are off.

yeah sens are very active. you wouldn't think that birchirs would be bottom dwellers if the only one you saw was my sen i used to have. but i have an ornate thats out all the time and one that constantly hides so maybe i just got an active one. but eitherway every fish has its own personality.

my sene is more active than my endli

Senegals are always active. Endlis tend to stay at the bottom and chill all day. Both are great species either way :)

my endli also act that way

Definitely a YES. Sens are very active. They keep moving around unlike others polys that only come out when there's food or when it's dark.
