Are snails/slugs impossible to find online?

It seems like the transport of snails and slugs across state lines is very tightly regulated.

I find this surprising as I'm just looking for common, native species of snails and slugs and simply don't have them around in a back yard or something cause I live in Manhattan.

Anybody know a website or something where I can buy them legally? I'm looking to seed a terrarium for consumption by a turtle that likes to eat them.

Could try ebay, aqua bid or doctor foster & smith. I don't buy online much and have only used these sites for fish stuff.
