So I've imported a few fish who've had ich over the few months that I've had my main tank running, and wasn't able to quarantine them all originally, so I've had to treat my 220 for ich more than once in the past.

It dawned on me that some of my fish, especially my frontosa and fatass synodontis, seem totally immune to the stuff. Like they've at times probably nipped at the corpse of a fish that died of ich and still been totally spot and flash free.

Is it just that these two particular fish have tough immune systems, or are there some species of fish that simply don't get ich?

Obviously not a super-important question as it won't affect my future choices, but curious.
