or will my fish die if they eat a gold or neon tetra?

They are as good as what you feed the tetras. Make sure you QT them all the same, as they can still have parasites.

My fish love tetras. Never had a problem with feeding them. But you should still treat them as a feeder.

Also, I think it looks a lot better having neons swimming around my amazon tank than having minnows or rosies in there.

There almost isn't a fish out there that won't enjoy a Neon as a tasty, delicious snack. My Angel pinned them against the glass in a mad rush the first time she saw them.
My wife almost FREAKED.:jaw-dropp:eek3::WHOA:

haha My friends geophagus steindachneri eats them too:confused:

well i bought 10 little ones cuz my fish are still youngsters but i figured they shud learn to hunt a little before they get old. so i quarantined this fishies for a couple days wit some general tonic to make sure they had no parasites... threw them in the tank n none of my fish even noticed the damn things...
after 20 mins of waiting i needed to pee so i went to pee... came back n they were all gone...
now i still havent seen my babies hunt n i dun even know which ones at them... :(

Much better than goldfish and rosies.
