Yes, it's an old book... surely outdated now, of course. Perhaps may have been a good book, say 18 years ago maybe? It mainly consists of text, (German - which totally sucks for me), but it does have a few good decent pics. I mean especially for being 18 years old. But like Baloo said, it's probably only good for absolute beginners... to get an idea of some species and their sizes. I agree.

Bu whether "absolute beginner", expert/pro, or novice...IMO, all books can always be useful... for something... reference material, guide, photos, illustrations, or even high chair? :D lol! But if you're anything like me, who likes to collect any aquarium/aquatic fish related books, magazines, Dvds, etc. then this book would make a good addition to the collection, i'd say. Especially since there isn't really anything on snakeheads. Hopefully tho there will be a book/books written and published, dedicated towards channa species.
Who knows?... it might end up being a member here, who just might be the one writing it??... uhhhmm, Baloo? Tropheus??

totally agree phulltank... But that sucks that pascal didn't rite one I sure would have bought a copy or any pro of the channa species at that...

pascal didn't write one becauseno one was willing to publsh it
there was material for a whole book on fishdemon, very good material by frisby and clark but they didn't get published eather
unless it is a big seller its hard to get a book published and a book for channa still only aims at a very small marked

agreed mate , also now that we have web-sites that can be updated as new information comes along ,where a book is out of date before its even put on sale .

i would imagine if anyone would publish it it would be tfh , and if pascal and mr frisby can not get one published , would not leave much hope for anyone else , i agree i would love to have seen a book done by pascal ,he is without doubt the number one channaholic out there

cheers col
