Are there any Chaca Chaca's out there on MFK?

I just got a Chaca Chaca around 3 1/2" and was wondering if anyone else has these cool lookin fish. He's in a tank with some Asian RTC's a Ompok and 2 False Jaguars(Liosomadoras morrowi). Anyway this is my first time with Chaca's and was wonderin how many they're are out there and what are your experiences. I can't wait till he gets bigger and I can put him in my other tank with the white sand. Right now he's in a grow out tank with blue sand and he just doesn't look right in there.

I've got a pacman cat (L. Alexandri) which kind of looks like a chaca chaca. Mine is about 1 inch long and I hand feed it

I don't remember Chaca Chaca getting very big. 6 or 7 inches tops. I've kept these guys in the past and am considering getting another one soon. They ahve been very hard to find here in St. Louis.

I do know that they are literally impossible to get to non-live food beyond the juvenile stage. Either convert them early to dried foods or they never will convert...

they can lower ph of small bodys of water, so best keep an eye on that... convert it asap not only are they impossible to convert later but they are a pain in the but if u dont... my chaca chaca converted fine.. i got my chaka b... at about 7" and he was a sod.. took out a few fish the same size.....

i was tempted to get oen seeign as how the lfs have brought many in.
but theyre pretty big and may eat my other fish.

I had been looking for one a long time till I ordered from tfdfish.com. Cost $40 + shipping but I think he is worth it. Looks very interesting. I have come to like the stonefish/freshwater lionfish and he fits right in.

Has anyone had trouble feeding? I have live worms, guppies, insects, and feeders I use and I haven't seen him eat. Its been about a week and a half though so I'm not positive. Could just be loosing body mass. Can someone reccomend something for health analysis or diet jump start? Thanks.

Does anyone have problems with spots/sludge coming out of their chaca? I have no idea what this is about. I assume its excretion but shouldn't it have "wiped" off? I don't know if I need to like scrape him for the sludge/excretion or try some other kind of water.... Let me know, thanks.
