Are there any dwarf cichlids that can thrive in a 20 gallon high aquarium?

Bit late to the party but i keep these in a 40B - 20 high is kind of small of course i do have one pair in a 10.... but still bigger is better:

Thanks for everyone who replied. Unfortunately the 20 gallon sprung a leak and I decided not to replace it.
