Are there any LFS in MI that hire 14 year olds????

You should just walk in and ask.

I was hired at age 16 by a pet store. I walked in, asked for an application, the manager interviewed me, and I got the job on the spot.

So just go for it.
 
Just tell them you'll do all the tank cleaning and water changes, this will get your foot in the door. If you are a hard worker and show you are knowledgable you'll be baggin' fish in no time.
 
Just ask, and as stated above offer to do the jobs noone else wants to do. It will get your foot in the door :) Tank cleaning, and general cleaning of the shop. Good Luck!

The wonderful world of retail.

You may want to consider driving distance(walking distance in your case) and second, during the school year, which I know is wrapping up for you, you can only work 3pm to 6pm closing. it doesn't seem too many LFS are open til 9. you may need to find a place with later hours or only needs weekend help. take what ever you can get. The foot in door is the greatest advice, after "work hard".

What suburb do you live in?
 
Lee's might be the only good one around for you. I do not think the big box stores by Lakeside Mall will hire some one your age. Were as the "Mom and Pop" store might take the chance with a mature young person with passion.
