are there fish in ecuador?

im going with a bunch of my friends to do a mission trip, habitat for humanity trip in a barrio in ecuador, the last weekend were going some place, i was just wondering if there would be fish like pbass and other things to fish for, i would think no because its on thw wrong side of the andes, (west) so it would be a totatlly different basin fish wise

Heheh, Yeah according to fishbase there are at least 371 species found in Ecuadoran fresh waters. Some really nice cand catfish included.

yea i will try to im going to be out there helping improve conditions in a barrio for a week or two in a third world country im gonan try and get in touch with someone maybe get some fish and have someone ship it to me

They have a wolf fish there that has a blueish tint in the face.. very nice fish there.
