Hi I have a 55 gallon planted tank with 1 baby black gost knife, 1 rainbow shark and 1 african leaf fish. I know the gost knife will likely out grow my tank in 2-3 years but for now it’s find and I will rehome it when it does. Other then that my tank always looks empty and I was wondering if it is a good idea to add 3 pearl Gourami to add some life / movement to the tank. I wanted 2 females and 1 male. I was just wondering if all the fish would be compatible in my tank / would I be over stocking the tank.
Are these 4 fish compatible with each other

First Id like to ask what you already have in the tank, and by rehome do you mean upgrade tank size or get rid of it? In regards to your question, rainbow sharks can be a little nippy at random times but I dont see a problem with those 3 getting along with each other, but there are other knifefish you could get that would stay smaller and you could house for life?

I was just worried that if I add the Gouramis my tank I would become over stocking my tank. I would try to upgrade when the knife out grows the tank but if I don’t I can just find it a new home.
